City of Fallon Day Trip

The Fallon agricultural scene has more than evolved over the last few years, so it’s no surprise that there are not just a variety of farms to visit and enjoy, but some that have become staples in the community and beyond. 

These are two of our favorite local producers and are a “must” on your trip itinerary. While planning your trip, note that Saturdays are often the best day to visit Fallon finest Agricultural gems to see the most of what it has to offer.

Lattin Farms 

Rick and B. Ann Lattin have been farming in the Lahontan Valley for five generations and creating a unique selection of crops to provide to the Fallon locale and visitors. Cultivating their ripe selection of seasonal harvests like melons, squash, corn, tomatoes, raspberries, garlic, and more, not to mention their jarred items and baked goods, they have become an irresistible stop when you’re in town. 

For a unique visit, Lattin Farms provides a variety of activities during their annual harvest season, between September and October. But, whether you’re picking up some fresh produce in the Summertime or taking a ride around the pumpkin patch in the Fall, Lattin Farms is a great way to see some of Fallon’s local agriculture for the whole family.

Frey Ranch Distillery

Frey Ranch Farm and Distillery had roots across Northern Nevada, originally in Genoa but ultimately landing at its current location in the 1860s in our very own City of Fallon. Ever since, it has continued to grow as a favorite of Fallon locals and visitors alike. With 165 years of family farming traditions and 1,500-acres of property, Frey Ranch has had plenty of time and space to perfect their delicious barrel-aged spirits and expertly crafted Whiskey. 

There is never a bad time to visit Frey Ranch, but to make a day trip of it visit in the Fall between Late September and Early October to visit the Nevada Maze and Fall Festival.
