Live Local Fallon Launches!
Living local is essential to the well being of any community. Its impact on residents, government, causes, and the economy makes it more than just a trend.
Money spent locally has three times the impact on a community than dollars spent at large chains or in other places. While you are buying tires, greeting cards or lunch, you are simultaneously keeping a fellow resident employed, funding city services with your tax dollars, investing in neighborhoods and parks, and fueling the spirit of entrepreneurship.
That’s exactly why The City of Fallon is proud to launch the Live Local Fallon initiative! Live Local Fallon is fueled by the Passport Program. Citizens use a special passport to document their local shopping, dining, and community experiences.
The passport pages are stamped every time the holder partakes in a business or organization that is participating in the Live Local campaign. Each month, if a specific number of stamps are collected, the passport holder can send in their page to be entered into the monthly drawings. Prizes will include Live Local gear and items donated by participating businesses.
All pages are sorted by the city until June 2014, when one of them will be picked to win a brand new Toyota Corolla!
Passports can be found for free at City Hall, The Fallon Chamber or the Fallon Convention Center. For more information and to become a part of the campaign visit www.livelocalfallonnv.com.
