Welcome to Fallon, the “Oasis of Nevada.” Fallon is on Highway 50, 60 miles east of Reno. It is surrounded by farms and ranches, and the Lahontan Valley Wetlands – a birder’s paradise. Fallon offers the outdoors, the arts, shops, and a menu of special events year round including a summer farmer’s market and the Hearts of Gold Cantaloupe Festival. The Navy’s TOP GUN School is located here. And Fallon is a destination for meetings and small conventions. Come to play or come to stay.
Fallon has a great menu of special events year round. In fact, Fallon has six seasons of events, one to match your taste. That’s why Fallon is called “Eventful Nevada.” Special events are a great reason to visit Fallon. Come for fun events and take some time to explore our community. We love visitors and have great restaurants, antique shops, Lattin Farms, and a downtown walking tour to keep you busy and entertained.
Sandboard down a giant dune, bird the Lahontan Valley, visit the Oats Park Art Center, or get lost in a five-acre corn maze. Fallon’s history, wide open spaces, and attractions are cool and unexpected unless you already know about some of the hidden treasures.
Fallon is a vital community with local events just about every week–if not every day!
